Trckr privacy: what is captured and kept

Trckr Time Tracker Updated Aug 7, 2026

Trckr is built so you can see exactly what it records about you. This page is the plain English version: what we capture, what we never capture, and the controls you have.

What Trckr captures

While tracking is running, and only then:

  • Tracked time per minute
  • Keyboard event count and mouse event count (how often, never which keys or what you typed)
  • Idle minutes
  • Active app names and window titles
  • Browser URL of the active tab only
  • Periodic screenshots, about 1 every 10 minutes

The number of input events per minute drives your activity percentage, and that is the only thing we do with it.

What Trckr never captures

  • Actual keystrokes or typed content
  • Microphone or camera
  • Clipboard contents
  • Files on your computer
  • Passwords or credentials
  • Any activity while tracking is stopped

There is no keylogger. When you stop tracking, the agent does nothing: no background sampling, no screenshots, nothing. The clearest test: the agent does not ship with mic or camera permissions and never asks for them.

Screenshots

  • Captured at random intervals, about 1 every 10 minutes on average, only while you are actively tracking.
  • Suppressed when you have been idle 3+ minutes. We do not want shots of an empty desk.
  • You can review and delete any pending shot before it uploads, in the Screenshots tab of your agent.
  • Stored privately on Armasourcing's own server. Only you and your admin can see them.
  • Auto-deleted after 180 days.

Time data

  • Aggregated daily totals (hours tracked, idle, activity percentage) are kept for 2 years so you and the team have history for reviews and reports.
  • Per-minute samples are kept for 180 days, then aggregated into daily totals and the granular rows are dropped.
  • Manual time entries you submit go to your admin for approval before they count.

Your controls

  • Pause anytime. The Pause button stops tracking until you resume.
  • Take a 30 minute break. For full time VAs; pauses tracking and screenshots.
  • Auto-stop after 7 minutes idle. The agent stops itself if you walk away, with a warning at 5 minutes and a countdown at 6:30.
  • Delete screenshots before upload. The review queue lives in the Screenshots tab.
  • Quit. Closing the agent stops all sampling. No background activity.

Who sees what

You

Everything about yourself: your hours, your activity percentage, your screenshots, your apps and URLs.

Your admin

Your Armasourcing admin and designated managers see the same data about the VAs they manage. It is used for time tracking, payroll, and QA coaching. It cannot be exported outside the company without your knowledge.

No one else

Your tracker data is not shared with clients or third parties, and it is never sold. Period.

Where your data lives

  • Self hosted on Armasourcing's own server, not on a third party SaaS.
  • HTTPS encrypted in transit. Database access restricted to ops accounts.
  • Daily encrypted backups with 30 day retention, restore tested quarterly.

Your rights

  • Access: view all data we hold about you in your VA dashboard.
  • Export: request a CSV or JSON export by emailing hello@armasourcing.com.
  • Correct: anything wrong? Tell your admin. Manual entries can be approved.
  • Delete: screenshots can be deleted before upload; ask your admin about older shots.
  • Leave: if you stop working with us, your active data is archived and your device session is revoked.

Questions

Email hello@armasourcing.com with any concern. We actually read these.

Trckr is built and operated by Armasourcing. The agent is open to internal review: if you want to see exactly what it captures, we will walk you through the source code line by line.
