Requesting Manual Time in Trckr
Trckr automatically records working hours while the desktop timer is running. When work happens outside the running timer or when you forget to start the clock, you can submit a manual time request to keep your working record accurate.
When to use manual time
Manual time is meant for genuine work that was not captured by the automatic timer. The most common situation is forgetting to press start at the beginning of a shift or after a break.
If you forget to start tracking, do not attempt to guess or reconstruct unverified hours at the end of the week. Submit a manual time request as soon as you notice the gap so your daily total stays up to date.
Manual time entries are a normal part of work. However, submitting frequent manual entries instead of running the desktop timer will prompt a conversation with your manager.
How to submit a manual time request
Manual time requests are submitted through your web dashboard rather than the desktop application.
- Open a web browser and navigate to tracker.armasourcing.com/me.html.
- Sign in using your official @armasourcing.com email address.
- Locate the Request manual time option on your dashboard page.
- Enter the exact start time and end time for the unrecorded work period.
- Write a short note explaining clearly what tasks you were completing during those hours.
- Submit the form for review.
How approvals work
When you submit a manual time entry, the request is sent directly to your manager for review.
- Manager review. Your manager checks the requested time frame and the explanation note provided with your submission.
- Decision notification. Your manager will either approve or decline the entry. You receive a notification once a decision is made.
- Updated hours. Approved manual entries are added to your verified tracked hours for the week.
If your manager needs more context before making a decision, they will reach out to discuss the entry with you.
Handling system or network gaps
If your computer goes into sleep mode, Trckr automatically detects the inactivity and stops counting that time. You do not need to submit manual time for sleep periods.
If your internet connection drops while the timer is running, your tracked hours are stored safely on your local computer. Trckr automatically uploads your saved time once your connection returns.
For technical issues where the desktop app will not open or hours appear incorrect, raise a ticket through the Support tab in Trckr or email hello@armasourcing.com.
